I just started working with Chai and I am curious about what to do with the 3D scan data (we generally export it from Artec software www.artec3d.com/3d-software/artec-studio in STL format). From what I know in STL files texture mapping information is not set. So in order to give textures to the 3d model I am forced to use any 3d modeling software to convert the STL file to OBJ format. Or use already existing mesh data in OBJ file format.
